HOW IS OUR AMERICAN
SINGLE MALT WHISKEY MADE?

OUR NAME

CLERMONT

It's about provenance, but also terroir (like wine).

Single malts are almost an agricultural product—highlighting the flavor of a single geographic location, and where that product was distilled and matured.

A single malt from Clermont, Kentucky will taste different from a single malt from Colorado, for example.

STEEP

It's about process—literally the steeping of the malt.

But it’s also about this product being steeped in the culture of Kentucky and the history of Beam.

It’s steeped in family tradition, in bourbon tradition, and in an agricultural community.

FLAVOR THAT COULD ONLY COME FROM CLERMONT

Kentucky limestone filters impurities. Climate pulls flavor from barrel to liquid. All so the single grain in Clermont Steep can shine.

THE DISTILLER

8th Generation Master Distiller, Fred B. Noe

THE PROCESS

Freddie Noe tested 67 different barley varieties to find the perfect mash bill and fermented it with Beam family jug yeast. After countless tastings and evaluations, an American Single Malt Whiskey worthy of the Beam name emerged.
